Rooted in its founding principles, YAPEKA, initially established as the Yayasan Pendidikan Konservasi Alam (YAPEKA) Foundation on August 27, 2004. It underwent a transformative evolution in 2018, emerging as three distinct entities: the YAPEKA Foundation, YAPEKA Association, and PT. Jelajah Buana Semesta (PT. JBS).
