Refund Policy

The Refund Policy applies in addition to the Wallacea Expedition “Booking Expedition Conditions” document. 

This page only refers to the termination with a refund to the Customer. For termination without refund conditions can be read in our “Expedition Booking Condition”

1. Termination

1.1 if JBS terminate contract

JBS reserves the right to cancel the contract before the Expedition Start Date for any reason, such as not having enough participants. If this happens, JBS will notify the Customer as soon as reasonably practicable and refund all money paid by the customer. JBS will not be responsible for any other costs or losses incurred by the customer due to this cancellation. The refund will only cover the amounts paid directly to JBS, with no additional compensation for any other financial impacts.

1.2 if Customer terminate contract

1. With prior notification from JBS

  • The expedition price is based on local costs. If costs significantly increase before or after Departure due to government action, fuel, or staple goods prices, JBS will notify the Customer as soon as reasonably practicable. The Customer can then choose to continue or terminate the expedition. If the Customer decides to terminate the expedition, JBS will refund all payments made by the Customer, minus the Refund Service Fee.
  • Due to the nature of the Expedition, JBS may need to make certain alterations to the Expedition, Itinerary, services, training, meals, accommodation, and other arrangements. If the alteration occurs before or  after Departure, JBS will notify the Customer as soon as reasonably practicable. If these changes significantly alter the original Expedition, the Customer may terminate the Contract, and JBS will refund the Price minus a pro-rata amount for time spent on the Expedition. However, if JBS provides a similar alternative Expedition, no refund will be given.

2. Without prior notification from JBS

  • At any time and for any reason before the Final Payment date, by giving notice to JBS, JBS shall not be obliged to refund the Deposit.
  • At any time and for any reason after the Final Payment date to thirty days before the Expedition Start Date, by giving notice to JBS, JBS shall refund 100% of the payment which may include non-repayment of the Deposit.
  • At any time and for any reason after the Final Payment date from thirty to fourteen days before the Expedition Start Date, by giving notice to JBS, JBS shall refund 50% of the payment which may include non-repayment of the Deposit.
  • At any time and for any reason from less than fourteen days to the Expedition Start Date, by giving notice to the Expedition Leader as soon as reasonably possible, JBS shall not be required to refund any money paid by the Customer to JBS.

2. Customer Refund Policy

If you are Customer that registered as a participant in Wallacea Expedition and for any reason must do the expedition termination, we agree at our discretion to refund you the amount that applied in the Termination section (more details in Expedition Booking Condition).

3. Conditions to Claim for Refund Payment

To receive the expedition refund, Customer are required to meet the following conditions:

(a) Customer must be registered as a participant in Wallacea Expedition;

(b) Customers must notify JBS immediately about termination since some of the refund payment will be related to time. JBS will not be responsible for any refund failure due to Customer ignorance in notifying JBS.

4. General Provision

4.1. Modification or Termination

PT JBS may modify or terminate this policy at any time. If we make changes, we’ll post them on the Wallacea Expedition website or notify you directly. Any claims made before the changes will still be processed under the term in effect at the time of the claim.

4.2 Entire Agreement

This policy is the full agreement between you and PT JBS about refunds based on the Expedition Booking Condition document.
