Expanding our mission further north, the Sangihe Island Expedition offers a remote and exotic journey into a dramatic volcanic archipelago. This region is a priority for YAPEKA an JBS, where we have been working closely with local communities to establish Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) that safeguard both biodiversity and local livelihoods. Future expeditions here will provide a unique opportunity to explore these unique ecosystems while also supporting sustainable management of these protected waters.

By joining this expedition, you will witness the stunning intersection of volcanic landscapes and marine life. The program will focus on collaborative conservation, where participants assist in essential monitoring and data collection alongside local guardians. Much like our North Minahasa program, the Sangihe expedition emphasizes community-led action, ensuring your contribution helps the local Sangihe people protect their ancestral seas while building a sustainable, eco-conscious future.
